Donna has over 35 years of extensive, diversified clinical and nursing management experience in the long-term care industry.  It includes a position as Director of Nursing (DON) responsible for the daily operation at a 250-bed skilled long-term care facility with a 50-bed sub–acute rehabilitation unit including peritoneal dialysis tracheostomy care and weaning, IV meds and IV for hydration programs. She also served as MDS Coordinator for six years at the same facility prior to being named the DON. Donna has multiple years of nursing experience in skilled nursing facilities in New Jersey. This experience includes responsibility for scheduling, assessment and care planning, complete review of clinical charts, submission of all MDS data to the state, analyzed all reports from the state, including quality improvement data and CASPER. She led implementation of education and improvement assessment policies regarding falls, respiratory conditions, fever assessment, leading to early identification and treatment resulting in positive outcome.
